Tax Collector
The Tax Collector is responsible for collecting all Real Estate, Personal Property and Motor Vehicle taxes, including any interest and fees that may be due, in accordance with the General Statutes of the State of Connecticut. The Office of Tax Collector is an elected, four-year term.
The office assists in maintaining the fiscal health of the Town of Woodbury through effective collection and processing of payments, along with assisting the public in understanding the taxation process and procedures with regards to these laws.
Taxes Due January 1, 2025
2nd Installment Real Estate, Personal Property, and Supplemental Motor Vehicle tax bills become due January 1, 2025
The second installment of Real Estate and Personal Property tax bills on the Grand List of October 1, 2023 becomes due January 1, 2025. If you have recently stopped escrowing taxes with a mortgage lender and do not have a tax bill, please contact the office as soon as possible. No additional bills will be mailed automatically for the second installment.
Supplemental Motor Vehicle bills, due for vehicles registered after October 1, 2023, will be mailed in December, and become due January 1, 2025.
If you do not receive a bill and think that you should, please contact the Tax Office as soon as possible. Failure to receive a bill does not invalidate the tax or any penalties accrued per Sec.12-130of the Connecticut General Statute.
Following the last day to pay of February 3, 2025, interest at a rate of 1.5% per month back to the original due date of January 1, 2025 will be applied on all delinquent tax balances, per Sec. 12-146 of the Connecticut General Statutes.

Prior year payments can be searched through the link to View & Pay Taxes. After entering search criteria, check the button marked “IRS Payment Records for Year 2023” and then Search. Records displayed can be printed as a report.
