The Housatonic Valley Health Department provides Public Health services to the citizens of the towns of Southbury, Woodbury, and Oxford, Connecticut.

What do we do ?

Inspection of restaurants and food stores on a regular basis.

Inspection of swimming areas, public pools, and day care centers.

Inspection and approval of water supplies and septic systems.

Help with the control of communicable diseases.
Provide the public with current material relating to health. -
Work with local communities on the inspection and protection of existing underground water supplies.
