Trash Reduction Pilot Program Family Kickoff Fair

Join us to celebrate the launch of the Town’s new Trash Reduction Pilot Program that started February 7, 2023! Hosted by the Naugatuck Valley Council of Governments (Woodbury’s regional partner), they'll be giving away table-top compost bins, sharing the library’s new environmental book collection, provide information about the program, and have snacks and fun activities to learn more about recycling and food scrap collection. Bring your questions, feedback, and ideas! All are welcome, no RSVP necessary. Snow date is Saturday, February 25 at 11 am – 1 pm.

The Naugatuck Valley Council of Governments (NVCOG) is a regional organization supporting 19 municipalities, including Woodbury, in west-central CT. NVCOG has received a Sustainable Materials Management Grant from the State of Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection to do outreach and education for the Trash Reduction Pilot Program, Connecticut’s waste crisis, and ways to reduce your trash and recycle better.
