When:Renowned Floral Designer Maureen Christmas to Present “Welcoming Autumn with Eco-Friendly Designs”
Woodbury’s Pomperaug Valley Garden Club will host award-winning floral designer Maureen Christmas on Tuesday, October 18 for a very special program, “Welcoming Autumn with Eco-friendly Designs.” The program will be held at
1 pm in Woodbury’s Old Town Hall, 5 Mountain Road in Woodbury (on the corner of Mountain Road and Main Street).
This autumn-themed design program will showcase the use of eco-friendly materials and techniques in creative and unique designs. All designs will be raffled at the end of the presentation. Light refreshments will be served.
Maureen Christmas, AIFD, CFD, EMC, is based in Acton, Massachusetts. She has been inducted into the American Institute of Floral Designers, is a graduate of the European Master Certification (EMC) Program, and a member of Chapel Designers. She was named the Maine Florists’ and Growers’ Association Designer of the Year in 2019. She has won major awards at the New England Flower Show, the Newport Flower Show, and the Boston Flower Show, including a Bronze Award in the Fusion Flower International Designer of the Year Competition. One of the highlights of her design career was creating dramatically large arrangements for a special visit by His Holiness, the Dalai Lama, to Boston in 2014.
Tickets are $25 in advance. Seating is limited. If space permits, tickets will be available at the door for $30.
