Woman’s Club of Woodbury First Fall Meeting

 

The first regular business meeting of the Woman's Club of Woodbury will take place Monday, September 12th,

at 11:00 a.m. at the Emergency Services Building (Orenaug Firehouse) 25 Quassuk Road in Woodbury.

Following the business meeting Peg Schimer will speak about “Caroline Ferriday: A True Story which explores the theme of her helping those in need. The public is invited to hear the presentation at 12:30 and is requested to reserve by phone: 203-263-3623.

Donations for the club’s charitable civic projects are appreciated. And prospective Members are always welcome.

Ms. Schimer is the Site Administrator for the Bellamy-Ferriday House & Garden which is owned and operated by Connecticut Landmarks.  The historic house museum is located on the green in Bethlehem, CT and welcomes each year visitors from across

 the United States and numerous foreign countries.  During her tenure for the past five years, she has overseen several major restoration projects including replacement of damaged wallpaper in several areas of the house.

Woman’s Club members are also now preparing for the Annual Christmas House Tour (postponed by Covid) but scheduled to take place this year on December 10th.  Information about the homes and ticket sales to be forthcoming.
