to be Topic of April 9 Garden Club Program in Woodbury

The Pomperaug Valley Garden Club is delighted to present “Spring Blooms at Last!” by award-winning floral designer Peggy Townsend on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. The program will begin at 11 am at the Woodbury Firehouse, 25 Quassuk Road, Woodbury. Members of the public are welcome to attend for a $5 donation.

Peggy will be demonstrating all the steps necessary for making a Creative Spring-time Design, a quick Ikebana Design and a Traditional Low-Profile Design. Her hints and
techniques will enable you to design your own quick and easy creations as well as flower show-worthy entries with confidence and ease. At the end of the program, her designs and several design kits will be raffled to lucky winners.

A National Garden Club Accredited Flower Show Judge, Peggy has exhibited designs at the Wadsworth Atheneum, the New Britain Museum of American Art, and State Flower Shows in Rhode Island, New York, and Connecticut. She demonstrates flower arranging techniques and conducts workshops and programs for garden clubs throughout Connecticut and judges flower shows throughout Connecticut and New York State. She is an active member of The Garden Club of Newtown, the Town & Country Garden Club, and Creative Arrangers of Connecticut.
