Woodbury Fire Christmas Bazaar

When:

The Woodbury Fire Department’s 10th annual Christmas Bazaar will be at department headquarters 25 Quassuk Rd on Friday Dec 1st from six to nine pm and again Saturday Dec 2nd from eight am to three pm. “Santa will be there for photos with children,”  says organizer Donna Dains. She strongly denied that firefighters Lee Warner, Andy Heavens, or another volunteer member will dress up as a pretend Santa. “The elves are busy, and real Santa Claus has the time now to sit with kids.” She says.

Dains has allocated space to 15 vendors. Among items on sale will be decorative lights, stone craft, and homemade jams and jellies. Well-known artist Cindy Gillette will display her paintings.  Fire Lt Matt Gereg will have a table for his decorative woodwork, adds Dains.  Fire Chief Janet B. Morgan will take photos of visitors that are then given back in a format to hang on Christmas trees as a decoration.  Any profit from the bazaar will be used to support the Woodbury Volunteer Fire Dept. “After all,” concludes Dains, “every vendor is either a Woodbury firefighter or related to one.”
