Voting is one of the key cornerstones of the United States’ democratic process. Our elected representatives are in office to represent our interests and reflect our values. It is important to understand the candidates’ positions as these positions can and do affect your lives in the policies they enact and the taxes they levy. Your vote tells the elected officials where you stand and if you feel the elected official does not support your interests, then you can use your vote to remove them from their position. EVERY VOTE COUNTS.
2025 will focus on municipal elections and referendums. There will be budget referendums for the town budget and Region 14 school budget as well as elections for the Board of Ed and Town offices. Here is a tentative election calendar.
