The Town of Woodbury participates in the Connecticut State Police Resident Trooper Program to provide police services to the town.
Troop L supervises the Resident Trooper Program in town. Eight patrol officers respond to all police emergencies within town.
These officers are full-time officers, certified by the Connecticut Police Academy and have received specialized training in such areas as accident reconstruction, DARE, crime prevention techniques, and criminal investigation techniques.
