Being a member of a Board, Commission or Committee is a way to give back to the community in which you live.
It can be a rewarding experience to know you are shaping your community.
 
Throughout the year different positions open up on Boards/Commissions and Committees and the Board of Selectmen are always looking for interested applicants to choose from. 
 

If you would like to volunteer for an open position, please fill out a Board/Commission/Committee Membership Form and return it the the Selectman's Office for consideration.

ad hoc Arts & Culture Committee, (7) Members and (2) Alternate term ending 12/06/2027.  No more than 2 members and 1 alternate may be non-residents of the Town.

ad hoc Code of Conduct Committee, between 6 and 15 members term ending 11/30/2027

ad hoc Technology Committee. 5 Members and (2) Alternates term ending 12/06/2027

Town of Woodbury Policy for Appointments to Boards and Commissions
 
1. Letters of resignation or openings on boards, commissions or committees are read into the Board of Selectmen's Minutes.
2. Notification of open positions are made to the local newspaper and to the Republican and Democratic Town Committees for possible interest, Referral and nomination.
3. Board of Selectmen review all the names which have responded to the opening and if necessary interview potential volunteers.
4. Recommendations for appointments are promptly made and nominated at the next Board of Selectmen's Meeting.
5. Board of Selectmen discuss recommendations for appointment and vote on nomination.
