Animal Control

The Animal Control Officer is Angela Bond (203) 263-7350, The Assistant Animal Control Officers is Stephanie Gilmore. The pound is located behind the town office complex on Main Street South. All dogs must be confined on the owner's property by being tied up or fenced in. If a dog is missing, the owner should report it immediately to the dog warden.

Persons can drive by the pound day or night to view missing dogs as there are outdoor, as well as indoor facilities.

Dogs that are picked up are advertised in Voices Newspaper and held for seven days after the ad appears. After, they are put up for adoption.
