Assessor - The Assessor’s office will identify each parcel of land with a map and lot number and account number. This is to verify that the building permit is issued to the correct parcel. Lots are not considered an approved lot until it can support a septic system.. Check with the Assessor ((203) 263-2435 - Boyd Building) for approval status, owner and location. No Fee
Zoning - A Zoning Permit must be obtained from the Zoning Enforcement Officer ((203) 263-3467 - Town Office Annex at 297 Main Street South) in the town planner's office. A fee is required.
Sanitation - A Sanitary Permit must be obtained. Percolation tests must be made and approved through the Town Sanitarian's Office ((203) 266-4785 - Town Office Annex at 297 Main Street South) Well permit required. Fees required.
Public Works - A Driveway Application and subsequent permit must be obtained from the Director of Public Works ((203) 263-3633 - Town Garage). An application is at the Building Office. No Fee.
Building Office - All Building Permits, including electrical, plumbing and mechanical permits, if applicable, must be obtained from the Building Official ((203) 263-5717 - Town Office Annex at 297 Main Street South). Fee for the permits are based on the value of the construction.
In addition, approval must be obtained from the Historic District Commission and the Woodlake Master Condominium Association if property is in said districts.
